NSP Problem Solving Clinic
Course Description
The Neighborhood Stabilization Program (NSP) Problem Solving Clinic provides grantee and non-profit staff access to technical experts and HUD staff that can field program design and implementation questions, provide clarifications on regulations, and suggest alternative approaches to address hurdles and roadblocks. At the Clinic you will be able to schedule up to five one-on-one sessions with NSP experts and HUD staff on topics such as: NSP Program Requirement and Rules, Environmental Issues; Construction Management/inspections, including rehabilitation standards and programs. Running concurrently will be workshops on technical topics that you may attend when not at a scheduled appointment. These workshops will provide specific information on topics selected by registrants through the registration process and may include topics such as DRGR and Land Banks. The three most popular topics will be presented at the clinic (with the exception of the state clinic in Denver where all six workshops will be offered). A unique feature of this clinic format is that you will be able to register up to 10 people, providing you with the opportunity to invite your staff, developers, lenders and other partners working with you on your NSP Programs.
Who Should Attend
The NSP Problem Solving Clinics are open to NSP grantees. Each grantee may bring up to 10 attendees that may include their staff or the staff of others participating in the NSP programs, such as non-profits, lenders, and/or developers. The registration form does ask each grantee to identify their attendees.
Registrations may be restricted to invited grantees only, or grantees from a certain geographic area. Registrations will be taken on a first-come, first-serve basis. Other registrants will be placed on a waiting list and registered as space permits. Please note that while preference will be given to local registrants, you may submit a registration form for any clinic nationwide.
