Basically CDBGCourse DescriptionBasically CDBG focuses on key program topics such as national objectives, eligible activities program administration, financial management, IDIS, performance measurement, reporting and recordkeeping. The course will include a combination of lecture and practical case study exercises. In addition, the course will provide answers to common CDBG questions and will highlight HUD interpretation of key policy issues. Who Should AttendBasically CDBG is appropriate for HUD-funded CDBG grantee staff who are new to the CDBG Program and for experienced staff who wish a refresher on the program. This class covers the Entitlement Program and is focused on metropolitan city and urban county staff. Grantees may register for any training course location nationwide. The staff of nonprofit subrecipients and local governments that are funded/receive funds from a state will be waitlisted and only permitted to register if the course does not reach capacity. Due to the limited availability of training seats, for-profit corporations and grants administrators are not permitted to register for these classes.
