Course Description

Basically CDBG focuses on key program topics such as national objectives, eligible activities program administration, financial management, other federal requirements such as Davis Bacon, environmental review, and acquisition/relocation, IDIS, performance measurement, reporting, and recordkeeping. The course will include a combination of lecture and practical case study exercises. In addition, the course will provide answers to common CDBG questions and will highlight HUD interpretation of key policy issues.

Who Should Attend

Basically CDBG is appropriate for grantee staff who are new to the CDBG Program and for experienced staff who wish a refresher on the program. This class covers the Entitlement Program and is focused on metropolitan city and urban county staff. State program staff may attend the class but should be advised that the State CDBG Program differs from the Entitlement Program for some topic areas.
